Acrylic paint is brushed on in layers in some areas, and closely worked into geometric forms at other places in the image. This contrasts with acrylic ink applied using a dip pen for the green mountainous form.
This piece emerged from a period of reflection on longing and belonging, using landscape as a way of approaching what cannot be easily expressed.
This piece is sold unframed and will need to be framed behind glass (non-reflective recommended) in order to be displayed.

About the Artist
Working in mixed-media drawing and painting, my work explores landscape as a language of reverence, imagination, and the numinous, with a particular focus on mountain forms.
I am an elected Professional Member of the Scottish Society of Artists (SSA), and have exhibited widely across the UK, including the Royal Scottish Academy Annual, Royal West of England Academy Annual, Visual Arts Scotland, Scottish Society of Artists exhibitions, and other group and solo shows.
