About this artwork
The pastel is applied by first crumbling it onto the paper in small amounts, and then smoothing it across the surface by hand. The mountain area are made using a dip pen with fine nib, or mechanical pencil.
The silent knowing relates to an experience of longing for that which seems unnameable. To long for something in this way means that what is absent must already be known in some way. My work is all about this longing for that which lies behind appearances, but is also curiously present. One way to think about this might be regarding Nature's forms as an expression of something beyond the visible, at the edge of our senses.

- All items framed behind glass, larger items, and any original work travelling outside of the EEA, will be dispatched by a specialist in the distribution of art and other fragile goods. Once shipping is in progress full tracking information will be made available, and delivery is usually the next working day (UK orders).
