About Me
My journey into psychotherapy began through personal experiences of therapy, and a longstanding interest in the relationship between psyche, creativity, and the natural world. Before training professionally, I was drawn to explore psychological and spiritual life through visual art and music, my own positive experiences of psychotherapy, while working in social care and mental health services.
I saw psychotherapy training and practice as a way to deepen my research and engagement with the mysteries of life, through the healing potential of human connection.
This combination of experiential, creative, and clinical influences continues to shape how I work today — with a grounded, reflective approach that welcomes imagination, complexity, and depth.
I completed an in-depth, three-year MA in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths, University of London (2010–2013). Rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic models, the training placed strong emphasis on working therapeutically with image-making, symbol, and the therapeutic relationship.
Since then, I’ve worked with adults, adolescents, and children across the NHS, third sector, and local authority settings. These experiences — alongside my ongoing training and research in transformational mentoring and psychosynthesis coaching — continue to inform my integrative and client-centred practice.

I’ve also held supervisory and service management responsibilities, giving me a broad, real-world understanding of psychological distress in its many forms.
As a practicing visual artist, I continue to explore the themes of psyche, image, and meaning through painting and drawing. This first-hand experience of the creative process enriches the way I work in therapy, allowing me to accompany others through the often complex, symbolic, and nonlinear processes of psychological transformation.
I offer psychotherapy sessions in Abergavenny, and online across the U.K. If you feel a connection with my approach or background, you’re welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation, or introductory phone call (free of charge).
