Seeking Shelter
The ever changing weather is a significant feature of the Scottish coastline, particularly the mountainous west. This work was inspired by the sheer elemental power of imminent rain, and the way a shift in weather prospects can quickly alter the experience of being a human exposed to the elements in a wild landscape, the sublime experienced through rapture and vulnerability coinciding. This image is an imaginative rendering of a stretch of coast in the Ullapool and Loch Broom area.
