All Sorrow Evapourates (framed)
Initially conceived of during the Spring, this image holds a distinctly Autumnal quality, to me. None of the work I make is an attempt to depict the appearance of a specific place, although some pieces are inspired directly by the experience of being at a certain location. This is a case in point, and it was whilst travelling past Loch Shin in the Highlands that a sense of this image developed, along with its title. Something to do with the vastness of the landscape and the deepened perspective of time, which contrasted so strongly with the the constant flux of the forming and vanishing cloud.
