The third and final installment of Stravaig 8 is now available to view online. The journal of Geopoetics Scottish Centre is full of interesting writing and art, and it's great to be published there again. Rivers and Forests are the core theme of this issue, and the featured image is from a few years back, 'Guided by Gneiss.' Lewisian gneiss (pronounced 'nice', so I believe), comprises much of the bedrock in the outer Hebrides. It has a particularly reflective quality, and I recall hearing of its use in river fishing on moonlit nights.
